A personal hobby
The railway fulfils the personal hobby and recreational interest of Michael Aslin. It is primarily his recreation but many organisations invite the railway to be an attraction at their events and in doing so the railway provides demonstration passenger journeys.
The owner shares his interest in a unique way to young and older people, with the hobby extended to being educational, donating to organisations and for many it is a very special passenger experience.
Here is my 7.1/4 inch tram set. That's me at the back with my tram loco "The Pay Parade Express" at Imphal Barracks Festival, York on the 12th. July 2008. My uniform is representative of the Royal Army Pay Corps late 1950's.
The front passenger is working the pretend controls and of course congratulated for driving well.
